Core service

WhatsApp-based patient check-in and recall

RetainIQ connects to a clinic's own WhatsApp Business number and handles two everyday front-desk tasks: recording that a patient has arrived, and reminding a patient when it's time to come back. Everything happens inside a WhatsApp conversation the patient already controls — there's no separate app or portal for them to set up.

Core features
CHECK-IN

QR-based check-in

A patient scans a code at the clinic, which opens a pre-filled WhatsApp message to the clinic's number — recording their visit with no manual data entry by staff.

RECALL

Recall reminders

WhatsApp messages sent when a patient is due to return, based on a follow-up interval the clinic sets once and can adjust any time.

VISIBILITY

Visit history dashboard

A simple, web-based view for the clinic owner showing recent check-ins and which patients are currently overdue for a follow-up.

CONTINUITY

End-of-day visit wrap-up

Each day's visits are wrapped up automatically, so a patient's status stays current without staff needing to update it by hand.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Closure & leave broadcasts

A way for a clinic to notify patients in one message when it will be closed, instead of fielding the same question over WhatsApp repeatedly.

BY DESIGN

Walk-in first, not appointment-first

RetainIQ is purpose-built for walk-in clinics. Time-slot booking is a deliberate choice to leave out for now, not an oversight — it keeps the front desk simple.

Who RetainIQ is for

RetainIQ is being built specifically for single-doctor, walk-in-first clinics — practices where one doctor and a small front desk handle a steady stream of patients without a formal appointment book. It is not designed, at this stage, for multi-location practices, hospitals, or appointment-scheduling-first clinics.

Underlying platform

Built on WhatsApp Business, directly.

RetainIQ integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform under GT Studio Labs' own Meta Business account, rather than through a third-party messaging reseller. All patient-facing messages are sent from the clinic's own WhatsApp Business number.
